Matter You Submit to Hanover Direct
Hanover Direct welcomes your comments regarding our merchandise and services, including our Internet site. However, any notes, messages, billboard postings, ideas, suggestions, or other material which you submit to Hanover Direct will become property of Hanover Direct and Hanover Direct shall be entitled to use any kind and nature of material which you submit for any type of use forever including in any media whether now known or hereafter devised. Where you go and what you do — What we know without you telling us !
Data about your activity while here on this site is automatically provided to Hanover Direct when you sign on. For each visitor, our Web server automatically recognizes only your domain name, but not your e-mail address. We collect only the domain name, but not the e-mail address of visitors to our Web pages; we collect aggregate information on what pages consumers access or visit, how many visits we get, and information such as where visitors arrived from as far as other sites on the Internet or if they directly typed our website address into their browser. It is used by us for internal review in aggregate and non-personally-identifiable form.

Cookies — How we know what we know without you telling us !
When you come to Hanover Direct or when you register with Hanover Direct, we create your personal profile, assign a personal identification number, then send this personal identification number back to your hard drive in the form of a 'cookie,' which is a very small bit of code. This code is uniquely yours. If you complete an order from one of our websites, and give them your e-mail address, we will use your e-mail address not only to communicate with you about the status of your order but also to send you e-mails regarding special sales, exclusive offers, and other valuable promotions that we think will interest you. Personal Information Other Than Your E-mail Address.

Your California Privacy Rights Hanover Direct has a policy of not disclosing the personal information of our customers to third parties for their own direct marketing purposes if our customers have exercised their option to prevent that information from being disclosed to third parties for such purposes.

Our catalog companies will use your shipping and payment address to send you their print catalog and catalogs of their participating third-party merchants and affiliated companies which they feel will be of interest to you, all by postal mail. We will use your shipping address to send you materials that are publicly available, at your special request, all by postal mail.

Our catalog companies will share your name, address and purchase information (but not your credit card information) directly with select merchants who are marketing affiliates of theirs. They use this information to match against their own offline catalog information (available from our records and other sources, such as demographic information and past purchase history) and they allow their marketing affiliates to use this information to match against their own offline information (available from their records and other sources, such as demographic information and past purchase history). This sharing of information allows us and other interested parties to make future marketing efforts more efficient. It may be used by our select marketing affiliates to send you offers of interest, by regular postal mail.

Like many other online merchants, our catalog companies, participate in cooperative database services which assist them in the matching of offline and online purchasing behavior so that participants can better analyze and understand the differences and tendencies of print catalog purchasers and website visitors and we can maximize the benefit of postal mail and e-mail they send to you if you have signed up with them to receive postal mail or e-mail. It may be used by other cooperative database participants to send you offers of interest, by postal mail or e-mail.

Lastly, we and our catalog companies do not currently rent e-mail addresses to outside parties.

Hanover Direct does not participate in cooperative database services for any information you may give to us on the Hanover Direct website. Our catalog companies do. If you prefer that any one of our catalog companies do not include you in lists of information they share with others, go to our catalog brand website and follow the link to their "Privacy" Policy and the instructions to opt-out of such use which you will find in the same spot on that website as here in this Privacy Policy.

Opt-Out of Future Catalogs.
If you have requested a catalog from any of our catalog companies, or have purchased from them at any time, they will send you one of their catalogs. If for any reason you no longer wish to receive such catalogs from them by postal mail, go to that catalog website and follow the link to their Privacy Policy and the instructions to opt-out of such use, which you will find in the same spot as this paragraph.

Correction of Your Personal Profile.

Access By Other Corporate Entities
We share much of our data, including personally identifiable information about you, with our subsidiaries and affiliated catalog and e-commerce companies.
